Couple of subjects deliver the media into a worry like the idea of hookup society on college or university campuses. But they are college students actually having a lot more sex than their particular mothers performed a generation ago? Data proposes the answer is no.

Lisa Wade, a sociologist at Occidental school, says something has changed, though: In today’s hookup society, developing a difficult attachment to an informal sex mate is just one of the greatest breaches of social norms.

On her behalf newer book, American Hookup: The New tradition of gender on Campus, Wade invested 5 years exploring hookup traditions on American universities and colleges.
